Margaret qualified with a BCA (Bachelor of Commerce and Administration ) from Victoria University in Wellington in 1981. She started with Deloittes in their Wellington office in 1980 working in the Audit division. She worked in the London office of Deloittes for the years from 1984 to 1987 and stayed with the same firm when she returned to New Zealand in 1987. Through the years with Deloittes she gained valuable experience in Audit and Computer systems. Margaret started with the firm in March 2003 as a Senior Accountant. Her present role is that of Manager.

Margaret prepares or manages the accounting function which includes detailed advice, management reporting, end of year statutory reporting, GST preparation and income tax return preparation and tax planning for the greater number of clients within the practice. Putting to good use Margaret’s thorough auditing experience she also provides pre-audit preparation for a number of clients. Her audit experience is invaluable however in all aspects of her work as she brings fine critical attributes to every task, whether it is in the interpretation of less than adequate records that are often supplied, or in the application of particular tax policies to the more interesting activities of clients, or in the thorough advice she imparts to clients whether written or verbal, or in the efficient processing systems she establishes, or in the training or younger and less experiences team members.
